The «Uzège» region

Uzès, magnificent medieval town of 8500 inhabitants and 1st Duchy of France is the capital of the «Uzège», small typical region in the Gard-Provencal department. You will stroll around its charming and colourful streets and will discover its famous saturday morning market.

This superb region in southern France unveils many marvels either from an historical or architectural point of view and its beautiful countryside will charm you with its bucolic rivers, its vinyards covered hills and even its tropical bamboo forrest !

One of its emblematic symbols represented here is the famous «Pont du Gard» built by the Romans in the first half of the 1st century.

The video which is presented here above was created by «Gription TV» in order to show some of the most attractive culinary aspects of the region, as seen by Peta Mathias, a Neo-Zelander «chef» who lives here.
